President Trump issued a Proclamation on July 30, statingthat all imports of semi-finished copper products and intensive copperderivative products will be subject to a 50% tariff, effective at 12:01 a.m. ETon Aug. 1.
This tariff shall be effective with respect to goodsentered for consumption, or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption, on orafter 12:01 a.m. ET on Aug. 1 and shall continue in effect, unless such actionis expressly reduced, modified, or terminated, according to theProclamation.
?his tariff is in addition to any other duties, fees,exactions, and ges applicable to such imported semi-finished copperproducts and intensive copper derivative products,?the Proclamation said.
