The Taiwanese carrier Yang Ming will next year start buying slots from Ocean Network Express (ONE) on the Asia ?US West Coast ?P1?service, which ONE jointly operates with Wan Hai Lines. Yang Ming will purchase from ONE 500 teu slots at 10.5 tons on each sailing of the service. The agreement will be effective as from 1 February 2025 and shall remain valid for a minimum period of 12 months, whereafter it will be automatically exted. From next February, the Keelung-based carrier and ONE will both adopt the PS7 brand for this service, which focuses on Vietnam, South China and Taiwan trade. The AP1 / PS7 service will turn in seven weeks with 7 x 4,500 ?13,500 teu ships provided by Wan Hai (5) and ONE (2) calling at Haiphong, Cai Mep, Shekou, Xiamen, Taipei, Los Angeles, Oakland, Shekou, Haiphong. As the fleet includes two smaller vessels, average weekly capacity of the ?S7?will stand at 10,300 teu.
