Ocean Network Express (ONE) has shared with its customers the start dates of the new East West services of the Premier Alliance. The new alliance of ONE with HMM and Yang Ming will be active as from 1 February, but in view of the Chinese New Year (on 29 January 2025) five Transpacific loops will only offer a first sailing in the second week of February.
The three alliance members also postpone the start of two Transpacific loops. The announced ?S5?and ?N4?loops are expected to be launched only in May. As long as both services are susped, the Premier Alliance will temporarily adjust the coverage of three other TP loops.
The new Transpacific Southwest ?S5?was to connect Qingdao and Ningbo with Los Angeles and Oakland. The Ningbo call will be transferred to the ?S4?while Qingdao will become the starting port in the rotation of the ?S6?loop in February, March and April.
The postponement of the Pacific Northwest ?N4?between Ningbo, Shanghai, Vancouver and Tacoma will be compensated by including the two Central Chinese ports in the rotation of the ?N3?service.
While ONE has published the start dates for all Premier Alliance loops between Asia on the one hand and Europe, North America and the Middle East on the other hand, the Japanese carrier has still not disclosed details about its new Transatlantic offering. Alphaliner understands that ONE is still in talks with a member of the Ocean Alliance to form a Vessel Sharing Agreement in the trade between Europe and North America.
