Maersk is to the rotation of the Far East ?US East Coast ?P16?service which is jointly operated with MSC (?merald? as part of their 2M Vessel Sharing Agreement. In order to improve schedule reliability, the Cristobal call will be temporarily removed and Jacksonville will become the first port of call in the United States. The rotation will be changed as from the 17 October departure of the 8,010 teu newbuilding GREENFIELD ex Xiamen. Both Maersk and MSC are vessel providers for the ?P16 / Emerald?loop which turns in twelve weeks with ships in the size range of 6,700 to 8,800 teu calling at Xiamen, Yantian, Shanghai, Busan ?Panama Canal) ?Jacksonville, Savannah, Wilmington, Newark ?Cape of Good Hope) ?Singapore, Xiamen. Also affected by the change is ZIM as the Israeli carrier slots on the service under its ?IM Sunny Atlantic Express?or ?SA?brand as part of a wider vessel sharing agreement on the trade with Maersk and MSC. ZIM also operates a standalone Far East ?Central America ?USEC ?IM Ecommerce Xpress Baltimore?or ?XB?loop, which equally sees its rotation slightly modified with the addition of Kingston at the expense of Freeport. The ?BX?turns in twelve weeks with twelve 7,800 ?7,920 teu ships now calling at Cai Mep, Haiphong, Yantian, Kaohsiung, Xiamen, Shanghai, Lazaro Cardenas ?(Panama Canal) ?Cartagena, Kingston, Baltimore, Norfolk, New York, Boston ?(Cape of Good Hope) ?ai Mep.
