Further to its return to the Transpacific trade this month by concluding a Vessel Sharing Agreement with SeaLead to become a vessel provider on SeaLead? China ?Korea ?Long Beach ?WC?service, TS Lines on 13 August also launched a standalone China ?Taiwan ?ong Beach ?WC2?service. The ?WC2?turns in six weeks and calls at Nansha, Shekou,Kaohsiung, Xiamen, Long Beach, Nansha. The first vessel to sail from Nansha on 13 August was the 1,808 teu TS BANGKOK. The 1,808 teu TS TOKYO and the larger 2,954 teu TS MELBOURNE have also been earmarked for the ?WC2?fleet, which means that the service will have a fortnightly sailing frequency by deploying three vessels for the time being. TS Lines increases its capacity on the Transpacific Southwest as spot ocean freight rates are currently high. Freight rates from Shanghai to California have faced some weeks of decline.
