ZIM Integrated Shipping Services will in early July 2024 introduce a new Transpacific service between Shanghai, Ningbo and Los Angeles. The new service will be marketed as ?IM Central China Xpress?(?X2? and offer short transit times of 13 days from Ningbo to Los Angeles. ZIM? new ?X2?will turn in five weeks with 5 x 4,250 teu ships and commence with the sailing of the 4,239 teu STAMATIS B on 2 July from Shanghai. The ?X2?adds to the Vietnam - South China - California ?IM Ecommerce Xpress?(?EX?, which will soon have its rotation changed. The Israeli carrier will add calls at Cai Mep in South Vietnam, which will go at the expense of current calls at Cai Lan in North Vietnam. Still turning in six weeks, the ?EX?will serve Cai Mep, Yantian, Los Angeles, Cai Mep with a fleet of six 4,250 ?5,500 teu ships. The first sailing from Cai Mep is planned on 16 July, with the 5,315 teu newbuilding ?IM FALCON?
