The 2M partners (Maersk and MSC) and ZIM have re-launched the Asia-US East Coast ¡®TP-11 / Elephant / ZNF¡¯ service. This service had been temporarily susped since April due to the negative impact on volumes induced by the COVID-19 pandemic and it resumed with the 31 July sailing of the 8,466 teu MAERSK SEVILLE from Yantian. At this occasion, the Asian range of the service has been slightly revised with Yantian added at the expense of Laem Chabang. The revised rotation covers henceforth Yantian, Singapore, Colombo, Salalah ¡(Suez Canal)¡ New York (Newark), Norfolk, Savannah, Freeport (Bah) ¡(Suez Canal)¡ Tanjung Pelepas, Yantian. The service turns in eleven weeks using 11 x 8,500-10,000 teu ships provided by Maersk and MSC (ZIM takes slots on this service within a wider agreement with 2M involving seven services connecting the Far East with the US East Coast and US Gulf). Of note, the members THE Alliance have also resumed their AsiaUSEC ¡®EC3¡¯ service, which had been temporarily combined with the Asia - USEC ¡®EC1¡¯ loop since November 2019. The ¡®EC3¡¯ has been relaunched with five ships only for time being, resulting in a fortnightly sailing frequency as the service turns in ten weeks calling at Ningbo, Shanghai, Busan ¡(Pan Canal)¡ Cartagena (new), Savannah, Norfolk (Va), Charleston, Cartagena (Col) ¡(Pan Canal)¡ Balboa (PSA Rodman),
