Zim has confirmed its participation as vessel provider in the new Asia - US East Coast TP23 / Palmetto service that Maersk and MSC will launch in May as part of the 2M Vessel Sharing Agreement.
Zim will brand this service ZSE, which is an abbreviation for the product name ZIM SEA/USEC eXpress. Full details about the new connection have yet to be announced, but the rotation will include direct calls at Vietnam, Yantian, Savannah, Charleston and Newark (New York).
Zim is already partnering Maersk and MSC in the Asia - US East Coast trade as the three carriers concluded a strategic cooperation agreement in July 2018. The Israel-based carrier and the 2M currently jointly offer seven weekly loops between Asia and the US East Coast / US Gulf.
