Maersk and MSC are preparing the launch of an additional weekly Asia - USWC service connecting Yantian and Ningbo with Long Beach. The service will turn in five weeks with five ships of 8,100 - 9,300 teu, of which four have already been nominated. The first sailing from Yantian is planned on 6 July from Yantian with the 8,073 teu CONTI CORTESIA, provided by MSC, followed by the 8,208 teu SEAMAX FAIRFIELD (MSC), the 8,266 teu AGAMEMNON (MSC) and the 9,288 teu MAERSK SHIVLING. Of note, both the CONTI CORTESIA and SEAMAX FAIRFIELD are among several 8,000 teuclass ships tered this month by MSC. The new Transpacific service will provide Maersk and MSC with extra capacity during the summer season as it adds to the China - Long Beach connections of the ¡®TP-8 / Orient¡¯ service and of the ¡®TP-2 / Jaguar¡¯ service (string of an Europe - Asia - USWC pulum service), which both are part of the offering of the 2M Vessel Sharing Agreement of Maersk and MSC on the Asia-North America trad
