THE Alliance partners are to launch their first direct Asia - US Gulf EC6 service in April 2021. It is expected to turn in nine weeks and will call at Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Yantian, Ningbo, Shanghai, Busan, ...(Panama Canal)... Houston, Mobile, New Orleans ...(Panama Canal)... Kaohsiung. >
The Panama-routed Asia - USEC EC1 and EC3 will remain merged, but larger 13,500 teu ships are to be deployed in the revised EC1 service replacing 8,000 - 9,500 teu ships. The revised rotation includes calls at Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Yantian, Shanghai, Busan, Manzanillo, Savannah, Charleston, Norfolk, Manzanillo, Balboa, Kaohsiung. Current calls at Tokyo, Kobe, Xiamen and Jacksonville will be discontinued.
